Adva Kaplan Dror, born in 1972, is an Israeli photographer and group facilitator. Between 2017-2021, she studied photography at the Photography Department of Musrara The Nagar School of Art and Society. In 2022, she studied under the artist Sagit Namir Zaluf at the ‘Space for Photography and Art.’ In addition to her work as a photographer, Kaplan Dror engages in socially focused photography projects in collaboration with various populations, including bereaved families, women with a background of domestic violence, and populations in conflict zones suffering from prolonged post-traumatic stress. The themes of home, family, and memory are significant in her work, and she explores them through projects that combine local landscapes, domestic spaces, and work with the family archive.
